Design and Innovation of New Heat Sink Fins / 新式散熱鰭片之創新設計

碩士 / 國立勤益科技大學 / 機械工程系 / 101 / The objective of this evaluation is to stretch on the effect of geometric shape of plate type heat sink fins and advantages over heat transfer performance. This study has been categories in three approaches. Firstly, assist with the Finite Element Method (FEM) in SolidWorks Simulation software and simulating different geometric shapes of plate type heat sink fins which can obtain Thermal Resistance Junction-case (Rth j-case) cause during IC power amplification. Secondary, on more practical experiment heat sink fins are slice into smaller different division and the gap between each division are not in same range. Using the measure of local heat transfer convection coefficient test has been implemented on natural convection flow and external force convection flow over constant temperature measuring a fix point on heat sink fins. Obtaining the results from first and the second experiment, the third approach leads to the innovative design of new type heat sink fins called Multi Layers Fish Scale Heat Sink Mesh, which can reduce natural convection flow temperature to 12.6% and with efficiency of 20% over external force convection flow.
