However, the company is running in a high percentage of manufacture scrap and waste in the pilot run with raw material utilization rate at only 19.15%; the efficiency of pilot run is yet to be improved. In this paper, Lean Management is applied to design out possible waste in the pilot run and improper manufacturing equipment. Continuous flow manufacturing strategy is also used in rearranging cell layout and labor force involved in the pilot run. The study shows that with these changes, the pilot run result is greatly improved in terms of quality, cost and delivery and the raw material utilization rate is increased to 46.27% . It is believed that by using proper manufacturing equipment and rearranging pilot run production flow, A company will be able to launch new product in a faster track and therefore be more competitive.
