This study investigated the concentration of heavy metal and supplied the reference values in ocean-fish, shellfish, and dried goods in HsinChu city.
We bought and analyzed the sample that was eatable part in ocean-fish, shellfish, and dried goods in traditional market, super market, and shopping mall in HsinChu city, including 2 species shellfish, 4 species cephalopod, 2 species crustacean, 7 species ocean-fish, 7 species dried goods in the ocean, and 6 species dried goods on the land.
The 10 kind of heavy metals that we collected of this study to analyze were standard in law in many foreign countries, or we often used in our surroundings, including Copper(Cu), Lead(Pb), Zinc(Zn), Cadmium,(Cd), Chromium(Cr), nickel(Ni), Silver(Ag), Indium(In), Iron(Fe), Aluminum(Al).
The results showed that the concentrations of heavy metal in sample were related to the ecology in that area closely. Cu, Pb, Zn, Ag, and Fe had the highest concentration of heavy metal in oyster than other sample. Cr, In, and Al had the highest concentration of heavy metal in jellyfish than other sample. Cd had the highest concentration of heavy metal in little scallop than other sample. Ni had the highest concentration of heavy metal in Lily Flower than other sample.
The sample of this study were not out of the standard in law in Taiwan, but the oyster(Cu,Zn), the little scallop(Cd), and the shredded dried bonito(Zn) are out of the standard in law in foreign countries.
