Preparation of Lightweight Aggregate Calcined by Reservoir Sludge with Spent Glass and Diatomaceous Earth / 水庫淤泥添加廢玻璃及廢矽藻土燒製輕質骨材之研究

碩士 / 國立宜蘭大學 / 綠色科技學程碩士在職專班 / 101 / Recent ten years, massive soil outflow on upstream of Shimen reservoir, increased sedimentation seriously year by year, reduces service life of the reservoir, and the ability of the water supply and flooding prevention. If we can add the wastes in the reservoir silt, prepared the lightweight aggregate that made resources and reutilization effectively, the product would produce building materials of lightweight function of sound absorption, heat insulation, vibration-proof, and fire-proof.
In this study, the slit of Shimen Reservoir was the main raw material, added spent glass powder and diatomaceous earth and adjusted the composition of percent ratio formula of three axel body of lightweight aggregate investigating the condition of the basic properties, calcined temperature, and holding time etc. of the raw material.
Experimental analysis presented that the content sodium oxide (Na2O) of the chemical composition of spent glass researched to 15.2% acting as the liquid phase of infusible glass. Spent diatomaceous earth analyzed the loss amount of organic matter with thermal gravimetric analysis that researched to 33% to provide the source of the available gas. Experimental results showed the percentage ratio of the optimal material composition is 50%, 40% and 10% of spent sludge, spent glass and spent diatomite, respectively. And the characteristics is 1,100℃ of calcinated temperature, 83% of expanded ratio of the aggregate, 22% of porosity ratio, 15% of water absorption ratio, 1.3 of specific gravity, and 1.91MPa that researched the standard of lightweight aggregate. The higher amount of spent glass supported the wrapping available gas while the calcinated temperature researched to 1,080℃, the internal hole of pore size of lightweight aggregate less than 0.1mm, and distributed homogeneous of the porosity. The shape approached to round hole while the calcinated temperature continued to rise up 1,110℃, the viscoelastic property of the liquid phase of infusible glass got smaller, shorten the number of the smaller internal hole. Some pore size of the hole enlarged over 3mm, the closed shape of the hole transferred to open continued structure, decreased the density and compressed strength of lightweight aggregate, the embryonic body expanded the phenomena of smoothly reverse turn.
