碩士 / 國立高雄海洋科技大學 / 海事資訊科技研究所 / 101 / This thesis applies a numerical analysis of the hydrodynamic motions of many types of vessels advancing in water. Two yachts, one tug and one container ship were used to analysis the hydrodynamics related to the generation of wake wash. The ship models were constructed by using a computer aided design (CAD) tool. Several different kinds of the vessels sail on the water to examine the effects of ship wake waves. This study investigates a number of significant related parameters, such as the speed of the ship model and the navigation time. The velocity magnitude, pressure distribution and continually changes of the drag force are also used to display the flow field when a tug is sailing in the wide water. Accordingly, this thesis presents a series of simulations using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and several ships model to simulate the generation of weak wash when a ship is sailing in wide water. The good results obtained was demonstrated by present CFD modeling to the analysis of ship wake waves without the need for employing time-consuming and expensive ship trials.
