The Study on Constitutionality of Subsidizing the Elders and Disabled Persons in Public Transportation / 大眾運輸事業法定票價優待之合憲性探討

碩士 / 國立高雄第一科技大學 / 科技法律研究所 / 101 / Present the European Union countries have drastic fiscal deficit and public debt caused by economy downturn, reduction of tax revenues, government expenditure for financial institutions, unemployment and increased social welfare expenditure of ageing societies. In contrast, Taiwan has serious burden on public finance due to politic parties tend to use social welfares as a tool to gain popularity. In order to save the country from unnecessary expenditure, it is essential to have all social expenditures under review.
The issue of subsidizing the elders and disabled persons in public transportation concerns escalated funds following the ageing societies. Judging from the current researches conducted by authority were merely focus on finical resolution, a judicial review of constitutionality on the issue should benefit further study fundamentally.
