Seeding Cultivation and Natural Seeding of Monostroma nitudum in Penghu / 澎湖青海菜種苗培育及天然採苗研究

碩士 / 國立澎湖科技大學 / 水產資源與養殖研究所 / 101 / The purpose of this research was to isolate the protoplast of the Monostroma nitidum as a “seed” stock, and establish the development path way of the protoplast in Monostroma nitidum. Eleven sites were simple set up of natural seedling nets, in eleven intertidal zone, in Penghu. In addition, we also observe the attached seedlings, and the growth and decline of algae, as a basis for transplanted to the intertidal zone as a suitable habitat in the future. The results, about 34% of the protoplast isolated from young thalli collected from December to February were regenerated into an original type. In contrast, the thalli collected from March to June were regenerated into an apogamic type. Therefore, protoplast isolated from young thalli is suited as a seed source. But the“Secondend protoplast”is the most suited as a seed source, all of them can regenerated into an original type.
The seedlings nets in all sites have attached young thalli of Monostroma nitidum. February to June coverate of Monostroma nitidum was 75% in Watong. Consider terrain, wind strength and other factors. Anjhai, Syujia and Watong were the most suitable for natural seedings as a future. In addition, this trial also found that the natural net of the Monostroma nitudum, representing the region's natural Monostroma nitidum growing season ahead; if this method is feasible, future harvest seaweed extend, to improve the yield of Monostroma nitidum are also available in Penghu another seaweed farming methods.
