Effects of Saccharomyces cerevisiae on the growth, immune responses and disease resistance in giant freshwater prawn, Macrobrachium rosenbergii / 飼料中添加酵母菌Saccharomyces cerevisiae對淡水長臂大蝦成長、免疫反應及抗病能力之影響

碩士 / 國立屏東科技大學 / 水產養殖系所 / 101 / The objectives of this study were to evaluate the effects of the growth performance, immune responses, immune genes expressions and disease resistance of giant freshwater prawn, Macrobrachium rosenbergii by using probiotic, Saccharomyces cerevisiae administrated at 0 (control), 103, 105 and 107 cfu (kg diet)-1 for 0, 7, 14, 28 and 56 days. The results showed that S. cerevisiae can be determined in the intestines of M. rosenbergii fed diets containing S. cerevisiae at the levels of 105 cfu kg-1 for 56 days. M. rosenbergii fed a diet containing S. cerevisiae at the levels of 105 cfu kg-1 were significantly higher than those of control diets for 56 days in growth performance. The levels of total haemocytes counts, hyaline cells, semi-granular cells, granular cells, phenoloxidase activity, respiratory burst, superoxide dismutase activity, transglutaminase activity, haemolymph clotting time, phagocytic rate and clearance efficiency of M. rosenbergii fed S. cerevisiae supplemented diets at 105 and 107 cfu kg-1 were significantly higher than those fed control diets after feeding for 7 days. The immune genes expressions of propheoloxidase, peroxinectin, β-1,3-glucan-binding protein, Cu-Zn superoxide dismutase, transglutaminase of M. rosenbergii fed S. cerevisiae supplemented diets at 105 and 107 cfu kg-1 were significantly higher than those fed control diets for 7 days. The survival rate of M. rosenbergii fed S. cerevisiae supplemented diets at 105 cfu (kg diet)-1 for 56 days and then challenged with Lactococcus garvieae was significantly higher than the control. These concluded that S. cerevisiae 105 cfu (kg diet)-1 administrated in diets improved the growth performances, immune responses, immune genes expressions, and the resistance to L. garvieae infection of M. rosenbergii.
