碩士 / 國立臺灣師範大學 / 全球經營與策略研究所 / 101 / The study is based on Mahan’s Sea Power Theory, which is the important reference for all sea power countries. After World War II, with the development of the technology and the changing in international situations, Mahan’s Sea Power Theory had conceptual changes. Sea Power Theory, from complete military power, changed in pursuing marine interest and the research and development of the marine resources. The article studies Japanese sea power after World War II, after which it is not only constrained from new Constitution but also influenced by the new sea power concept. Therefore, Japan established new maritime strategies after World War II. Besides new Japanese maritime strategies, the article proposes concrete cases of Japanese sea power, discussing the sea power development of Japan after World War II and the influences it had to the country itself and the peripheral countries.
