Link Between Aquaculture Losses of Nature Disasters and Disaster Aid in Taiwan / 台灣養殖漁業天然災害損失與政府現金救助之關聯

碩士 / 國立臺灣海洋大學 / 水產養殖學系 / 101 / Because of Taiwan’s geographical location and terrain conditions, the climate suffers a adverse complex, that causes multiple natural disasters that happen frequently. Aquaculture is a industry that is influenced heavily by environmental conditions and natural disasters. When a natural disaster happens, farmers could have a difficult time regaining their capital. The purpose of this study is trying to help understand the link between the disaster aids and the aquatic product loss when natural disaster is happen. As well as the cause of aquaculture damage.
This study distinguishes the statistic data, we used the regression analysis to help us understand the link between natural disaster damage and the disaster aids in different cities. We also used the data to compare the natural disaster type, farm area, the natural disaster’s level and how they will influence the disaster aid. The results showed that the amount of aid given compared to the natural disaster's damage is uneven. Out of ten times we can only get disaster aid four times. The natural disaster type, farm area and the natural disaster’s level doesn’t have a large influence on disaster aid. The results showed are less significant.

Results in this study suggest that the government should establish a complete mitigation or precaution plan to face the threat of natural disaster damage to aquaculture. In order to do so they must increase their investment. As well as taking all preventive measure's of the fishery natural damage. If the government takes this suggestion it will ultimately create social happiness.
