碩士 / 國立臺灣海洋大學 / 水產養殖學系 / 101 / The ornamental aquarium industry in world grows up and the demand is increasing year by year. Taiwan has advantages of history and technology. There is few study of ornamental aquarium equipment. In view of high value-added features of the ornamental fish peripheral industry, the main items of the investigation study are feed, pumps and other 12 kinds of ornamental fish industry sector. The study was conducted in (1) the suppliers and manufacturers were surveyed about domestic sale and export value from January 2008 to December 2012; (2) survey of customers’ consumption to aquarium equipment and accessories; (3) survey the supplier and manufacturer to support on confirming first and second survey result; (4) carry out the analysis of LCA, BCG model, smile curve, SWOT analysis and the competitiveness of aquarium equipment between Taiwan and China. The results of sum of export and domestic value in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012 are 1,441 1,460, 2,444, 2,937 and 3,172 million NT dollars, respectively. The survey result, official public data on website and official document data of Directorate General of Customs (DGC), Ministry of Finance were compared. The results in this study only ornamental fish feed value were slightly matched, but other value of different items from website of DGC are much higher than those value from the survey results because the same product code of DGC covered wide varieties of industry products. Consumers' consumption survey results indicate that customers consider the price and brands while purchasing goods. This survey results with interviewed factories and manufacturers were conducted industry analysis and it indicated that Taiwan currently has the advantages of high stability of OEM and strong design. It is need to still continue to develop high rank of international trade and technical person in order to promote industrial upgrading and extend actively the China market in order to enhance the competitiveness of Taiwan’s ornamental equipment market.
