Investigation the Carbon Footprint of Tilapia - The Malliao Farmers for Exemple / 吳郭魚養殖碳足跡之調查–以雲林麥寮養殖戶為例

It caused fishing and aquaculture to be influenced . reducing greenhouse gas is the best measures to debase greenhouse gases immediately . In order to find out the greenhouse gases emission of aquaculture that have this investigation for greenhouse gases . According to the result , analyze for reduce discussion for this purpose carbon labels to receives authenticate which can promote products and appearance of an industry . this research is taken advantage of Life Cycle Assessment and consult the standard of PAS 2050 , to use as two farmers in Maliao , the function unite is based on one kilogram of tilapia , to investing from fry to adult and calculate of carbon footprint cause greenhouse gases measured . Researching result , the farmers A greenhouse emits lot of gases for 52.7 ton’s CO2 , the carbon footprint is 1.95 KgCO2e ; the other farmer is 89.9 ton’s CO2 ,the carbon footprint is 2.68 KgCO2e . Both result shows the raise of feed observing 70% up in the emission of greenhouse gases , and the electric power consumption occupied about 20% , this result is similar the reference and compared with impact is feed formula more higher . To suggest rice bran in place of other raw material and probably release CO2 . Besides , proposing our country to establish calculation method of aquaculture carbon footprint for the investigation of greenhouse gases and standard of carbon footprint computation.
