The first chapter briefly motivation , previous studies, study Area and research framework. In Chapter II, Qin Zi-Hao was Taiwan's poetry mentor and the first generation oceanic poet. And Zheng Chou-Yu was just like his son. Yu Guang-Zhong, Ya Xian, Yang Mu , Lo Men are Same period of the poet friends. Each has the poem sky, and creates good quality and quantity oceanic poems. Wang Qi-Jiang was the oceanic poet later than Zheng Chou-Yu. He worked for many years in the navy ship and owned a delicate poetic heart. He created the oceanic poems belong to his character.
Luo Zhi-Cheng, Zi Yang, Lin Yao-De, and Yang Chia-Hsien were the poets later than Zheng Chou-Yu. They also focused on oceanic poems and oceanic literature. In Chapter III, combs Zheng Chou-Yu creative poetic journey of life. He creates lots of lyrical romance poems which combine Chinese classical and modernism into after crossing to Taiwan before to U.S., and in this period widely spread. After getting married, his mountain poems turned to classical Chinese language and changeable. And the poetry Inheritance of the Bowl showed his main core—patriotism. After to U.S., his poems reduced because busy for family, life and study. And edified by Western literature and wrote an English poem anthology. The Anthology Yan’s Walking and Snow Possible some wrote in Chinese and then translated to English, however it’s hard to translate the artistic conception of classical Chinese language and musical in Zheng Chou-Yu’s poems. In 1993, the Anthology Lonely Man Sits to Look at the Flower attributed to Zen and quiet poetic and earned National Arts Award in 1995. In Chapter IV, to pick up Zheng Chou-Yu’s oceanic poems in his all anthology classifies by Subjects: nostalgia, emotion, impermanent View and study those poem’s skills. Zheng Chou-Yu’s oceanic poems compare and analysis with others’ oceanic poets. Organize Zheng Chou-Yu’s history. Zheng Chou-Yu’s oceanic poems are virtual and real in comparison. The subject opened by the experience of the sea, and turned to the recollections of life experience. And his poems extended to the people, the relationship between the ocean and the universe, especially his oceanic poems are full of the musical like the weave. Chapter V is the conclusion.
Zheng Chou-Yu focused on the text concise, modern and classical Chinese in his poems. Good use of old imagery interspersed layout, jump and irrelevant simile. According to the content of poetry arising musical rhythm and lyrical text, hardness. Focus on the five senses, especially vision figurative and abstract color. And focus on Phonological structure of language sounds, sound blending in his poems. He used good of language as changeable as the vagaries of the sea. He built on a unique poetic vast.
