A study of Students’ Workplace Role Perception – The Case of Department of Shipping and Transportation Managemen / 航運管理學生職場角色知覺研究

碩士 / 國立臺灣海洋大學 / 航運管理學系 / 101 / The aim of this research is to explore the workplace role perception of students who major in shipping and transportation management. There are two purposes of this research, the first one is to interpret the workplace role perception of those students who are going to enter employment, and the second one is to establish the categories of students’ workplace role perception.

This research used questionnaire survey, and the research sample is from the students of shipping and transportation management institute, and the effective surveys are 151.

The questionnaire of this research were developed from interviewing with graduates of shipping management who is early into workplace and enhanced by references of related topic. Therefore, the questionnaire contains five dimensions with twenty-five shipping workplace role perception by the correction of adviser.

The result of this research has seven principal components from factor analysis,the role of behavioral outside work, language and interpersonal relationship perception , sales ability perception in workplace, unknown field of study perceptual, professional ability training perceptual, IQ and EQ enhance perception, self-perception in the establishment of standards work.

And four clusters from cluster analysis, both inside and outside the knowledge-based, positive attitudes and learning, business type, self-growth. Finally, this study will discuss the constraints of this research, orientations of follow-up studies, and the meaning practical on management.
