碩士 / 國立臺灣海洋大學 / 教育研究所 / 101 / Abstract
This study investigated the relationship between six grade students’ perceptions of New Ecological Paradigm and their efforts to marine ecological conservation in Keelung's schools . Questionnaire survey was conducted in this study.
To ensure that valid sampling procedures were applied, stratified random sampling was used at the first stage, in which 16 schools from 7 districts in Keelung were selected. Then, 1 to 3 classes in each school were selected by means of cluster ramdom sampling. 941questionnaires were administered, 927 questionnaires were recalled, and a total of 917 questionnaires were valid. Statistical data was then analyzed with the descriptive statistics, independent sample t-test, single-factor variations data analysis and Pearson product-moment correlation, and the main findings are as follows:
I. More than 70% of the six-graders’ "New Ecological Paradigm" perceptions are positive. The six-grader attitude towards the "New Ecological Paradigm" was significantly influenced by their mothers' educational background.
II. More than 50% of six-graders showed positive "Marine Ecology Conservation Actions." Significant differences are shown in gender and personal experiences.
III. Positive relationship is shown between students' “New Ecological Paradigm” perceptions and their marine ecology conservation actions (r=0.173).
