This study of correlation between the marine environmental values and behavior intention of the eighth grade students in New Taipei City. Questionnaire survey was conducted in this study.
To ensure that valid sampling procedures were applied, stratified random sampling was used a total of 1039 questionnaires were valid﹐available rate 95.6％. Statistical data was then analyzed with the descriptive statistics, independent sample t-test, single-factor variations data analysis and Pearson product-moment correlation, and the main findings are as follows：
First, more than 80％ of the eight-graders’ marine environmental values are positive. Their biospheric environmental values are positive and active .
Second, more than 50％ of the eight-graders’ showed positive " marine environmental behavior intention ".
Third, the gender values in the marine environment have significant differences, and the females were significantly higher than males; while "parental education", "parental occupation" and "pro-sea frequency" in three background variables were not significantly different.
Fourth, the pro-sea experience in the marine environment and the marine environment values Individually significant differences in behavioral intentions, and there is pro-sea experience is significantly higher than those who did not experience love for the sea.
Five, the pro-sea frequency affect student behavior intention of the marine environment level of scores, and the pro-sea frequency of "three to four times" and "five times more" scores were higher than the "1 or less" student. And "gender", "parental education" and "parental occupation" and other background variables in the marine environment were no significant differences in behavior intention.
Six, positive relationship is shown between students' marine environmental values and their marine environmental behavior intention.
