碩士 / 國立臺灣海洋大學 / 環境生物與漁業科學學系 / 101 / The study aims to analyze the recreational behaviors and characteristics of tourists visiting in Annan Coastal District,Tainan City, in addition to understanding their views against the tourism development in Annan Coastal District. The study will be provided as reference for future development of tourism for this district. The results are summarized as follows:
1.Taijiang Bay is the origin of development for Tainan City while Annan District is part of the Taijiang Lagoon with special coastal geographical environment and exceptional background in history and culture. The development of tourism and regional industries can boost the economic activities in that area.
2.The majority of respondents consist of female aged between 21~30 years old, university degree, occupations in military, public service and educational field. Most of the respondents also live in Southern Taiwan whose personal income falls between NTD20,001~30,000.
3.The respondents have mostly visited the area 4 times in the past year, which major transportation is automobiles while the companies comprise the family and relatives. The stay time is mostly 4~6 hours while the majority of sources of tourism information come from television and media.
4.The tourism motivation of respondents aims to take holidays, rest, relax, and relieve stress from work. The respondents are mostly satisfied with the quality of specialties and souvenirs. They are least satisfied with the management of stores and booths. Most visitors are willing to revisit and recommend Annan Coastal District City.
5.The higher the recreational experience satisfaction perceived by the visiting tourist, the higher the loyalty.
6.The respondents place high value on Annan District with high satisfaction on: to satisfy tourists with requirement in cuisines and reasonably priced specialties or souvenirs, convenience with sufficient quantity of public bathrooms, convenience with parking and outbound traffic. The abovementioned items are strengths of developing tourism in Annan Coastal District City and should be preserved.
7.The aspects recommended for strengthening Annan Coastal District City include the follows: actively plan the overall tourism corridor, promote itinerary planning for senior tour of cultural wellness, enhance mesh network of traffic for scenic spots, train guide volunteers for tourism, and market regional scenic areas through travel experts.
