A study on the Variation of Catch Production in Association with Environmental Factors in the Coastal Area of Kong-Liao, Northeastern Taiwan / 臺灣東北部貢寮地區沿岸採捕業產量變動與環境因子之關係研究

碩士 / 國立臺灣海洋大學 / 環境生物與漁業科學學系 / 101 / In this study, we tried to examine the relationship of CPUE of coastal harvest fisheries and the environmental variables in Kong-Liao region of New Taipei City, northern Taiwan during the period of 1995-2011 by using the general additive models (GAM). The first three dominant species of the costal harvest fisheries were Pterocladia capillacea (52%), Porphyra dentate (8%) and Dermonema virens (7%), respectively, but it would change by season. In spring and summer, the dominant species of Pterocladia capillacea, occuping 69% and 71% of toatal catch, respectively. In autumn and winter, the first two species of Porphyra dentate and Dermonema viren occuping 21% and 28%, and 19% and 16% of total catch, respectively. The environment indices including the IGOSS sea surface temperature, sunshine, solar radiation, rainfall etc also show the seasonal variation. The IGOSS sea surface temperature were varied from 18.6℃ to 29.22℃, while the sunshine and solar radiation were varied from 7.25 hours/month to 602.3 hours/month and from 0.3J to 21.63J, recpectively. The precipation was varied between 0.8 mm and 972 mm.
The GAM results indicated that CPUE of Pterocladia capillacea was related to IGOSS sea surface temperature, solar radiation and the catch of Porphyra dentata. And the CPUE of Porphyra dentata was related to sea surface temperature and the catch of Pterocladia capillacea and Dermonema virens. As for the CPUE of Dermonema virens was related to the catch of Pterocladia capillacea and Porphyra dentate. The results indicated that the Pterocladia capillacea and Porphyra dentate were related to the annual and seasonal variation, while the Dermonema virens was related to the biological factors.
