Preliminary Study of Water Resources Thermal Energy Utilization in Jhihben Area / 深層海水冷能利用技術(知本地區水資源冷熱能源利用之初步探討)

碩士 / 國立臺東大學 / 理工學院綠色科技產業碩士專班 / 101 / Global climate change has occurred in the recent years. For that reason, the Fukushima nuclear disaster in Japan makes the government in other countries to implement carbon reduction policies and develop renewable energy. Taiwan is located at the plate junction, and it contains two economic resources: deep sea water and geothermal hot springs. In Jhihben area, combining these two water resources of different temperatures makes the generator possible to increase the thermal efficiency of the Organic Rankine Cycle. Moreover, air conditioning system can improve the coefficient of performance (COP) because of cold energy recycling from seawater. This study covers two aspects of "thermal power" and "seawater air conditioning" parametric tests. Thermal energy which combined the surface seawater replaced by hot spring water of OTEC can increase the thermal efficiency up to 5~6% in 3kw power module. As for seawater air conditioning, only 12℃ cold energy of seawater can be recycled through two stages, and the COP in 700kw air conditioning module can up to 6%~13%.
