Green competitiveness of microalgae engineering on carbon fixation feasibility study / 綠色競爭力微藻固碳工程可行性之研究

碩士 / 國立臺灣科技大學 / 工業管理系 / 101 / Climate change, environmental issues discussions have never stopped in recent years. Microalgae are wonderful, almost invisible little creature. They existed hundreds of millions of years on Earth already and so many species of microalgae that we human could never finish to studies the. However we have found that microalgae could consume greenhouse gases (carbon dioxide) from the atmosphere and also be able to solve the food problem, to produce high economic value biotech products, skin care products, and even also can be manufactured into biodiesel as an alternative energy source. It is extremely high potential for human beings to develop related industry.
This study analyzes the future of microalgae cultivation and post-processing technology that can develop to a sort of carbon reduction industry. In the course of the study, we also found Taiwan's industrial competitiveness basis in this area. We also expect that Taiwan industry could pay attention to and participate in development, but also hope that the Government could make a move on policy and regulations as early as possible to create a friendly and conducive environment for this industrial development.
