碩士 / 靜宜大學 / 食品營養學系 / 101 / Childhood overweight and obesity rates were 17.5% and 14.3% in Taiwan. In addition to caloric and energy expenditure imbalance, obesity is also caused by outside environmental factors. The purpose of this study is to use the qualitative Focus-group Interview technique to identify environmental factors cause childhood obesity and to develop the Elementary School Obesogenic Environments Evaluation System questionnaires. Study subjects were from two local elementary schools in Taichung students, including parents, and teachers. First, the ANGELO (Analysis Grid for Environments Linked to Obesity) framework were used as the interview structure to conduct the obesogenic factors in elementary schools. Then, the interview results were sorted out four domains and three dimensions. Four domains were physical factors, socio–cultural factors, economic factors and policy factors and three dimensions were oriented diet, physical activities and education. The school policy, at-home eating behavior, physical activities, and education were major factors influcencing obesity. Four self-designed questionnaires were designed according to the qualitative interview results, including:“Home Environment toward Eating and Exercising Survey”,“Child Dietary and Exercise Behavior Survey”,“ANGELO Framework on School Environment Monitoring Survey”and“Direct Observation Checklist”. The validity and reliability measurement had been done for these questionnaires in this study.
