The Influences of International Education on the English Learning Attitudesand the English Learning Effects of Senior High School Students-a Case of National Huwei Senior High School / 國際教育對高中生英語學習態度及學習成效之影響-以國立虎尾高中海外遊學為例

碩士 / 亞洲大學 / 經營管理學系碩士班 / 101 / Nowadays the boundaries between nations are more and more indistinct. The close interaction from country to country has been surprisingly spread. Globalization or global village seems to appear. As study tours have been widely publicized by touist industry and mass media, more and more parents encourage their children to study overseas during summer and winter vacation in order to cultivate a global perspective. As a result of “ The White Paper on International Education for Primary and Secondary Schools,” announced by Ministry of Education in Taiwan, almost all schools spare no effort to set into action four dimensions such as international interaction, integrated curricula, school internationalization, and the professional developments of teachers. It is hoped that students are able to pay more attention to international affairs and participate in international competition and cooperation to become a real member of the global village.
The study subjects include students who finished the first year in National Huwei Senior High School and joined the study tour to study overseas in summer vacation. The purpose of this study is to investigate the influences of study tours and the destinations on English learning attitudes and English learning effects, and then realize what to pay attention and how to improve when carrying out international interchange affairs.
The main conclusions analyzed and generalized through this study are as follows.
1. The English learning attitude of senior high school students varies after joining the study tour. Their overall English learning attitude becomes better, especially their behavior components. Second.
2. The English learning effects of senior high school students varies after joining the study tour. Their overall learning effects become higher, especially their listening comprehension.
