A Study On Marine Education Content Affected Ecotourism Cognition Of Elementary School Students In The Coastal Area Of Hengchun Peninsula / 恆春半島濱海小學海洋教育實施之內容對學童生態旅遊認知影響之研究

碩士 / 亞洲大學 / 休閒與遊憩管理學系碩士在職專班 / 101 / Taiwan is surrounded by ocean; therefore, in order to make people cherish the ocean, the government developed many policies and projects to promote marine education in the curriculum and daily life. In addition, developing marine ecotourism is quite appropriate in Taiwan. By promoting marine education, people can have the accurate cognition of marine ecotourism; thus, it is beneficial for the sustainable development of marine environment.
The study used the questionnaire to investigate the cognition of marine ecotourism of all fifth-grade and sixth-grade students in the coastal area of Hengchun Peninsula. The collected data was analyzed by descriptive statistics, independent sample T-test, and simple regression.
According to the data analysis, the result shows that the sixth-grade students in the coastal area of Hengchun Peninsula keep high-intermediate level of cognition of marine ecotourism. Moreover, the marine curriculum and activities are related to students’ cognition of marine ecotourism positively.
In conclusion, the study recommends that the government can promote marine ecotourism and design appropriate marine curriculum and activities at school to develop students’ cognition of marine ecotourism.
