A study of the Physical Properties of Hyaluronic Acid/Calcium Alginate Blend Dressings / 玻尿酸/海藻酸鈣摻混體敷料物性研究

碩士 / 萬能科技大學 / 材料科學與工程研究所在職專班 / 101 / The objective of this research aimed to improve the shortcoming of bacterial infection due to the overflow of dressing after resolving with massive absorption of tissue fluid as HA or SA artificial skin dressing was used alone. In this research, natural materials HA and SA were blended, and then with Calcium Chloride cross linking reaction was performed and Hyaluronic Acid/Calcium Alginate (HA/CA) was produced. The results indicated that when HA/SA mixture contains 60wt% SA or higher and then placed into 10wt% calcium chloride water solution, the calcium ion bonding between calcium ion and sodium alginate molecular can effectively reduce the water solubility and maintain 100 – 185% water absorption rate. The TGA showed that the initial degradation of HA/SA and HA/CA occurred at 210℃ and the calcium chloride bond degraded at 260℃. The DSC thermal curves indicated that the secondary motion behavior of hydrogen bond or calcium ion bond inside intramolecule or intermolecule of the HA/CA mixture occurred between -50℃ to +50℃ and after the secondary bonding discomposition, the HA/CA mixture started the thermal motion of large molecular chains only after 130℃. Although the solubility of the HA/CA mixture has been improved, its breaking strength and elongation were reduced to 3.5% – 8% in the dried samples.
