A Study of Knowledge Transfer and Absorptive Capability-Taking Example of Incubators in Greater Shanghai / 知識移轉與吸收能力-以大上海地區創新育成中心為例

碩士 / 國立雲林科技大學 / 創業管理碩士學位學程 / 101 / In the knowledge-based global villages, it’s an important and critical approach to create, transfer and integrate knowledge in all organizations. If corporations tend to win the eternal operation, they must improve the amount of knowledge itself to enhance their own competitiveness. To gain knowledge, people can’t always rely on organization itself. Obtaining new knowledge out of units and transfer-teaching to inner corporation is the most effective way to enrich skills.

This study is to discuss and investigate the knowledge transferring approaches that aimed toward to five incubation centers(Tongji University Science Park, Zhangjiang High Technology Park, Kunshan Industrial Technology Research Institute, Shanghai Technology Innovation Center, Tsinghua Science Park) and five businesses in Greater Shanghai. Having in-depth interviews to understand how incubation centers provide knowledge, service and problem solving…etc. to incubation centers. During the interviews, incubation centers illustrate how incubation centers and incubation centers cooperate , showing the real results of the help / assistance of incubation centers to incubation centers, therefore we can evaluate the value of incubation centers. By the two aspects of above interviews would help understand the validity of knowledge.

The study shows that, knowledge and experience of incubation businesses with rich industrial knowledge and experience are competitive. Incubation centers demonstrate their considerable effectiveness in knowledge absorption. However, most incubation centers make a lot of knowledge and information incomplete due to their emphasis on independent learning of some operation activities. Furthermore, grass-roots staff''s understanding on the industry is not quite thorough, and they are blind to industrial knowledge, which easily leads to interruption of knowledge transmission. China Innovation Incubation Center can provide multiple communication channels and the corresponding response, and deliver knowledge information to incubation centers, and learn about these businesses in the course of interview, in turns, which is helpful for knowledge transmission. However, lack of database is the weakness of incubation centers, which results in their failure to save the information provided by innovation incubation center, which greatly impacts on inheritance of future knowledge accumulation experience.
