碩士 / 正修科技大學 / 工業工程與管理研究所 / 102 / With large numbers of people moving to the city and the economic development quickly, worsening traffic in urban areas, therefore, develop and promote policies to improve the utilization of public transportation is imperative. Through the reference, the reasons for the low utilization of the Kaohsiung MRT is the network not enough and habits own vehicle, this study use the Theory of Constraints thinking processes five steps tools, identifying obstacles for Kaohsiung MRT is the reasons for low usage rate of public transportation to improve shuttle bus on time rate and reduce the use of private transport with the two demands. According to the result, getting the internal factors and external factors affecting the Kaohsiung MRT utilization, there were key improvement targets, In which the internal factors include shuttle network, the fare system and the environment around station and the external factors are included own vehicles, work location and socio-economic development.
