Taiwan printed circuit board industry facing South Korean industry fast growth and Pursues with all one's strength with the Mainland China industry, the enterprises have to grasp the external dynamic change taking the initiative, and carry on the correspondence of internal industrial competition strategy and the adjustment of business strategy of enterprises, that it can keep the like proteus's strain ability, and continuing to maintain the strength of leadership and survival with the important key success factors.
The study collected many thesises as to the subject of “the printed circuit board industry business strategy and competitive advantage,” and using the “strategy matrix analysis” with together, which is invented by Professor Seeto Dah-hsian to be a tool, and till now, printed circuit board business strategy with the “strategy matrix analysis” as a subject of these thesises has not been found yet. Therefore, It apply with “strategy of matrix analysis” as the method for the study of “a study on comparing business management strategy between Taiwan and China industry”, which is a new combination as a based of the study, to establish the subsequently developments of the study processes and framework, and that is what the study motivation to comparative of the enterprise of the business strategy between Taiwan and China.
The study used analysis methods on the industry environment analysis, industry life cycle analysis, industry five forces model analysis and SWOT analysis as the environmental premise and the Prerequisite premise of business strategy analysis, then used the “essences of strategy” for “industry (business) strategy matrix” to analyze and express the posture of business strategy of printed circuit board industry between Taiwan and China as a premise for verification, under this situation, expectantly Understand the the printed circuit board industry competitive advantages pattern, Describe the conformation of essences of strategy for printed circuit board industry, and compare the similarities and differences of the the business strategy for printed circuit board industry between Taiwan and China, they are the study purposes of this thesis.
At last, the conclusions of the study, the phenomenon of bigger than bigger in the enterprises is of much more competitive in the printed circuit board industry now, compact size of the product is the more obvious trend of the future, and the product types will go "super slim" and " more thick" polarized. The study also found a conclusions in the essences of strategy of the business strategy matrix analysis, that is each one value unit in the value chain, may becomes a basis of competitive advantage, When business strategy decisions making must respect the value activities, to be more understanding and evaluation about their impacts on business strategy and competitive advantage.
Printed circuit board industry under pressures in recent years, Mainland China official control and execution of the wastewater Cap and Trade system and Annual salary adjustment policy, and the enterprises in the southeast coastal region have to face the challenges of huge loss of employees and structural vacancy of employees, so that the enterprises must continue to train new employees, it virtually has increased the cost of training and operations. Therefore, the industry between Taiwan and China coordinated with the official westward policy or relocated to the coastal region of Guangdong frontier cites Seeking another development chance, and to establish of the large industrial park area instead also take another operating opportunity.
