碩士 / 大葉大學 / 資訊工程學系碩士班 / 102 / Augmented reality is a technology that applies virtual objects to real scenarios, and allows the users to interact with it. Augmented reality technology is widely used in various fields. A campus navigation system is proposed in this paper by using augmented reality technology, so that the users can use this system for campus navigation more directly and conveniently.
The proposed augmented reality based campus navigation system consists of several different functions, including the 3D display of campus architectures, the quick search of departments’ location, the text or video information display of departments, and the search of campus roads. Compared with traditional planar campus map, the proposed system provides a better way of campus navigation for the users with higher speed, higher interactivity, and 3D visualization.
