Synthesis and Magnetic Properties of Dysprosium Double–Decker Complex and Dysprosium Triple–Decker Complex / 雙甲板及三甲板鏑金屬化合物之合成與磁性研究

碩士 / 輔仁大學 / 化學系 / 102 / Two dysprosium(III) complexes with H2dsp (H2dsp = disalicylidene–1,2–phenylenediamine) which have double–decker and triple– decker sandwich–type structures, have been synthesized and characterized by X–ray diffraction, IR spectra, UV–Vis spectra, electro chemical, and magnetic studies, and we also did the DFT calculations for H2dsp. The formula of these two complexes are (NMe4)[Dy(dsp)2] (1) and [Dy2(dsp)3(EtOH)] (2). This is the first time that the X–ray structural analysis of [Ln(dsp)2]- was reported. The ac measurements of both complexes under external dc field show M ” signals above 1.8 K, indicating they have the possibility to be single–molecule magnets. The energy barrier Ueff = 33.57 cm-1 for (1) and Ueff = 27.94 cm-1 for (2).
