According to the evaluation assessment data of year 2011 in Taiwan, among the 205 central and provincial social welfare charity foundations, 105 of them were founded by owner of enterprise or enterprise itself, and further inject financial support to established entrepreneurial type of Social Welfare foundations. This article will reveal the actual operational profile of current entrepreneurial type welfare foundations in Taiwan. By conducting an inductive analysis, entrepreneurial type of welfare foundations with proactive overall situation will be recognized.
Further studies were carried out on those foundations that had been recognized as proactive enterprises -oriented, in order to understand the associated interaction between the parent enterprise and its social welfare foundations, as well as the operating profile, providing the view and discussion for public.
When enterprise owners or enterprises wish to contribute in charity, the approaches to achieve the purpose may be enterprise-oriented in terms of the supporting resources, blueprint and desired goals. The enterprise should be able to have a more impartial view, as well as a strategic thinking and practices, to conduct a good integration between enterprise benefit and social welfare, which should further create sustainability of win-win situation for both parties. The theme of this research is aiming to provide ideas and bring out the reflection for people working on this field, in order to work out a beneficial approach for these two different organization types, eventually the objectives of charity activities will be complementary and create a sustainable win-win situation.
