The Research of Water Quality Influenced by Tides Current in Gaomei Wetland / 潮汐作用下高美濕地海域水質研究

碩士 / 弘光科技大學 / 環境工程研究所 / 102 / The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of tides on the water quality in Gaomei Wetland. According tofield sampling survey and data analysis with water quality models, the experiment iscarried out by simulating conditions in the area with the changes of the flowand the diffusion of the quality.
In this study, based on the emission from QingshuiDrainage Channel, simulate the tides and its influences on the water quality around the area. With the results, the study shows that water quality of the drainage channel which is affected by the tides leads to the innermost water and sea do water exchange failed, when tide of Xiushui Bridge is going out. This causes pollutant to accumulate on the innermost of the channel.In addition, by dividing into winter and summer, the simulations of waves in that areaare done by the changes of tidesdue to monsoon.The results show that when the tide is up to the highest point, in winter, the degree of the wave is at least 0.15m. On the other hand, in summer, the range is 0~0.08m. Depend on the different flows, do the simulation of water quality in Gaomei area, the result of the experiment confirms that in 1 m3/s flow, the BOD concentration is about 22mg/L on the shores near the coast in Yunlin ; however, in 10 m3/sflow, the BOD concentration is about 26 mg/L.
Affected by the ebb and flow of the tides, the contaminants near the shores in Gaomei Wetland may accumulate on the surrounding area and the coast in Yunlin because of the tidal movements. Therefore, with the long-term accumulation, the ecosystem and water quality in Gaomei Wetland will encounter severe impacts.
