Employing Fuzzy MCDM to Improve the Selection of Suppliers: A Case Study for Aquaculture Enterprises / 應用模糊MCDM改善供應商評選 :以水產養殖企業為例

碩士 / 開南大學 / 專案管理研究所 / 102 / In aquaculture industry, poor quality or nutritional imbalance feed causes anorexia, poor growth, poor palatability and increase mortality rate to aquatic animals and induce aquaculture production decrease. Fishmeal is considered as a better source of protein in aquafeeds ingredient. Thus, adding fishmeal in aquafeeds will make aquatic animals growing better and more health. It is mean that fishmeal is the most important feed ingredient in aquafeeds for aquaculture industry. For aquaculture industry of Taiwan, there are about 700,000 tons fishmeal imported and 80% were imported from Peru. Therefore, it is a very important decision making process of selecting fishmeal suppliers from Peru for a Taiwanese aquaculture enterprise. This study constructs a multiple criteria decision making evaluation model for selecting fishmeal suppliers by VlseKriterijumska Optimizacija I Kompromisno Resenje (VIKOR) approach based on weighting of Entropy method under fuzzy decision making environment. This approach can effectively and conveniently measures the comprehensive performance of main fishmeal suppliers of Peru in practical application. Besides, the results and processes are good references to an aquaculture enterprise in decision making of purchasing fishmeal and improving the selection model for fishmeal suppliers.
