碩士 / 國立高雄應用科技大學 / 工業工程與管理系碩士在職專班 / 102 / Recent years, with the necessity on shipping become higher than before; the size of container vessel is growing larger, amount of ship construction is also increased by times of entire world. In the process of ship construction, the lifting work must depend on the connection of RINGs to achieve the block lifting process. Therefore, numerous rings are necessary for ship construction processes, and each ring can only be used one time generally. A large amount of rings cause higher construction cost, inconvenience installations, and unnecessary resource-wasting.
This study use the large-scale domestic shipyard as a reference, the TRIZ theory is applied to discuss the improvement of rings, refining lightweight of rings and assessing the profit of improvement. In this study, we have considered the shipyard construct each 5.5 of 4,250 TEU and 6,300 TEU container vessels in one year. After the improvement of lightweight rings, the new design rings can be used three times, and the construction cost substantially decreased up to 73% (5,280,000 NTD), also reducing the installation time simultaneously.
