Therefore, many designers pay more attention on the formation of interior style. This essay analyze the related literature and we figure out that light, color , furniture , compartment and building materials are the key elements which have a great impact on interior style.
The Mediterranean style is established by those seven elements. Its features are as follows: Its form and structure is an arc on ceilings and the corners of walls. It also manipulates arch style on doors and windows to build a soft and romantic atmosphere. Its partition does not adopt the traditional style, but adopts another method which will make the vision more comfortable. It needs to appropriately break some partition walls. For example, if the walls cannot be broken, then we open the windows to make the space wider. Because the Greece advocates the natural illuminant, the style of sedulously artificial illuminant is unnatural for the Mediterranean style. The Mediterranean style uses many large open windows and the natural illuminant to save the energy and it can make people feel familiar and comfortable for the sense of vision. Also, on the perspective of psychology, people can be balanced with nature. Its building material adopts natural limestone, stones and marble. Those kind of building material can lower the temperature so they are suitable for the areas of islands. Its color adopts yellow, orange, brown, and red, besides blue(It is often used in the Mediterranean style) so it can addict the nice, warm and steady feeling to the house. Its furniture adopts wooden and vine furniture in natural, simple lines, and round way. They are mostly in old color. The decoration's feature also prefers nature. Because of the popularity of handcrafts, iron, vine and weaving are used in a large amount indoors. Because the Mediterranean style has ocean and countryside styles, the building material related to the twos can be manipulated. Making green indoors plays an important role on the Mediterranean style. The delicate pot plants on table or besides the fireplace can increase the vigor and the spirituality indoors.
Using the design standards which includes the key elements to foam a style, this essay takes the Mediterranean style as an example to manipulate those rules and demonstrates again the space which conforms to those rules. Using the manipulation like this, it realizes the demonstration of the Mediterranean style. In the future this method can also manipulate other styles in it to provide the business the material of thought and production.
