The Effect of Regeneration of Pleurotus citrinopileatus by Adding Nutrition / 營養劑對珊瑚菇再生性的影響

Pleurotus is the white rot fungi and have ability to decompose wood. They are the major cultivation mushroom. There are about twelve varieties were cultivated in the world. The most cultivated in Taiwan are P. citrinopileatus, P. abalonus, P. ostreatus and P. eryngii. Among them,
there is an increasing trend of Pleurotus citrinopileatus production, because of its short cultivated time, rich aroma, taste sweet and crisp, high nutrition value, and cheap. Most Pleurotus citrinopileatus are cultivated in the traditional cultivated room, because it doesn’t need
temperature stimulate when fruiting. Therefore subject to environment change impact, it is difficult to control the yield. In order to help to raise the yield, we designed an experiment to observe the harvest yield by adding the nutrients.

The nutrients we added into the beg which were harvested one time and four times are milk(5%, 10%), soybean milk(5%, 10%)and milk : soybean milk =1:1(5%, 10%). The nutrients were added 10mL per time every week in 7 weeks, then observation , recorded the yield, weights, and numbers.

The results, on one harvest, mushroom yield were higher from adding 10% milk, 10% soybean milk and 5% milk:soybean milk=1:1, then from other concentration, the highest yield at 5% milk:soybean milk=1:1. The more harvest number and average size at 5% and 10% milk:soybean milk=1:1; and the most harvest number at 10% milk:soybean milk=1:1; and the most average size at 5% milk:soybean milk=1:1. On four harvest, mushroom yield were higher from adding 5% and
10% soybean milk; and the highest yield at 5% soybean milk. The most harvest number and average size at 5% milk.
In this experiment, the total number of Pleurotus citrinopileatus we harvested are 76, and the weights were most distributed among 30-40g. The average weight was 38g.
