Effects of calcium and Bacillus spp. treatments of the growth on calla lily / 鈣肥與芽孢桿菌處理對彩色海芋生長之影響

碩士 / 國立中興大學 / 園藝學系所 / 102 / The purpose of this study is to research the effect of plant growth of calla lily and resisted soft rot caused by Pectobacterium carotovora subsp. carotovora after different calcium chemical application - Ca(NO3)2, CaSO4, Ca(OH)2, CaCO3, and Bacillus subtilis (BS1), Bacillus mycodies (BM3) mixture with calla lily culture media. Calla lily ‘Pot of Gold’ was used in all calcium application experiment in this study. Effect of calcium chemical application in micro element of calla lily after flowering was no signification differences, while the flower quality and calcium content in leaf, petiole and tuber of calla lily were increased after calcium chemical application before flowering. Calcium chemical application also can improve epidermis of tuber have more cell layers, perhaps can improve resistance soft rot.
B. subtilis (BS1) and B. mycodies (BM3) are Plant Growth-Promoting Rhizobacteria (PGPR). In the Bacillus spp. treatment, the plant and roots growth of calla lily were improved after Bacillus BS1 and BM3 treatment, and more fresh, dry weight, starch in tuber and root of calla lily, too. On the other hand, B. mycodies colony found in root and tuber of calla lily in BM3 treatment only, no in petiole and leaf blade. Perhaps they can’t been transferred to over ground through transpiration. However, the incidence of soft rot of calla lily is too low both in BM3 treatment or control, maybe the method of Pcc inoculation had to modify more batter.
