碩士 / 國立成功大學 / 土木工程學系 / 102 / Several damage surveys indicate many failures of offshore structures because of extreme wind force, and Taiwan’s sea area have high frequency typhoons. Thus, if Taiwan wants to develop offshore wind power, it is important to analyze the characteristics of wind force on offshore wind turbines under extreme wind conditions.
In this thesis, numerical models based on FULENT which is a Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) commercial software. First, comparison between numerical results and reference date was carried out to verify the accuracy of the numerical simulation analysis process. Second, establishing the offshore wind turbine’s model and changing some variables to analyze the wind load characteristics how affects the model. Finally, this thesis discussing the characteristics of nacelle obtained by the mean drag & lift coefficients with the variation in angle, and comparing nacelle with tower by wind pressure value.
