碩士 / 國立成功大學 / 水利及海洋工程學系 / 102 / This study in vestigates effects of the multilayer circular bubble curtains for
attenuating the underwater sound noises produced by driving the piles for
offshore wind farms. The air bubble curtains were generated by passing
compressed air through various circular tubes, such as a porous air tube, a steel
tube with orifices, and a ceramic air stone. Characteristics of bubble curtains
are discussed in terms of the bubble size, the gas void fraction, and the
thickness of curtains. The optimal bubble curtain for diminishing the
underwater noise is concluded in this investigation. The experiment results
reveal that if the multilayer circular bubble curtains are set up around the pile
of the offshore wind turbine, the underwater sound noises with frequency
ranging from 125 Hz to 15 kHz were reduced by about 20 db.
