碩士 / 國立成功大學 / 海洋科技與事務研究所 / 102 / The UNESCO Convention on the Protection of the Underwater Cultural Heritage, adopted in 2001, offers an international legal framework for the protection of Underwater Cultural Heritage located in international waters. However, there are still many controversies in this convention. This study uses the method of documentary analysis, and focused on the jurisdiction under the international laws concerned the underwater cultural heritage, for example, the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea and the UNESCO Convention on the Protection of the Underwater Cultural Heritage 2001. The primary purpose of this study is to enhance the knowledge of the international laws of the underwater cultural heritage, and put efforts into the protection of underwater cultural heritage by analyzing laws concerned the underwater cultural heritage.
