Meat meal is the other one protein source , but BSE causes concerned issue in feed using. How to find the alternative protein is the most issue in feed. Soy source of vegetal protein is the choice, which with high protein content and balanced amino acid composition.
Aquaculture in Taiwan, the feed costs share about 70 %, staff costs share about 2 %, electric bill, water bill and fish medication share about 1 % for Silver perch feed. Under the rising cost of fish meal, vegetal protein price is relative cheaper, only weight gain, and feed conversion rate is not affected and accepted. Vegetal protein is definitely to replace fishmeal for cost down purpose.
