However the hotel industry in China is on the line due to the impact of sumptuary laws. Lots of hotel owners are considering transforming star-rated hotels to budget hotels to stay in business. Under such kind of condition, we still can find some special boutique hotels operating very successful. How do they manage to do it?
This study focus on the successful boutique hotel in Shanghai. The report is based on the research framework to collect data from boutique hotels and its industry. To analyze the hardware, services, business figures and management of the hotel in order to find out how the boutique hotels stand out under this critical timing. The purpose of this study is to provide the strategies of planning and operations related to the hotel industry.
