碩士 / 國立宜蘭大學 / 應用經濟與管理學系經營管理碩士班 / 102 / This study examines the changes of investors’ herding behavior in Taiwan stock market and the relationship between Taiwan stock market and the international stock markets after the financial crisis. Individual investors always take a large share of trading volume in Taiwan stock exchange but have little information about the market and are more susceptible to the attitudes of others. It is worthwhile to discuss the changes of investors’ herding behavior by individual investors when facing the financial crisis. According to the empirical results, investors’ herding behavior is observed in Taiwan stock market before and after the financial crisis. Before the financial crisis, sell-herding behavior reduces with the international stock index. The same phenomenon also occurs after the financial crisis, but the magnitude of the sell-herding behavior is severer than before. This study speculates that investors are influenced by the pessimistic sentiment and lose confidence after the financial crisis which results in following others’ investing decisions.
