碩士 / 國立高雄海洋科技大學 / 航運管理研究所 / 102 / This study aims to identify crucial factors influencing self-operated container terminal for Taiwan International Ports Corporation, Ltd. based on resource-based of the view and institutional theory. Date were collected by a questionnaire survey. Five crucial core resource and capability factors, namely: ports’ infrastructure, brand service level, employees’ marketing capability, ports’ link capability, and ports’ operational capacity were identified based on a factor analysis.
A multiple regression analysis was subsequently performed to examine the impacts of ports’ institutional environment, resources and capabilities on a ports’ value creation. Results indicated that ports’ institutional environment and brand service level were found to have significantly positive impacts on a port’s value. However, the impacts of ports’ infrastructure, employees’ marketing capability, ports’ link capability, and ports’ operational capacity on a ports’ value were not found in this study.
