碩士 / 國立臺灣師範大學 / 政治學研究所 / 102 / Mainland China has its compatibility in the government structure with Taiwan while Taiwan is in martial law. For example, both of Taiwan and Mainland China have the influence of China traditional culture, and also have the rapid development in economy. Apart from these, there are a group of foreign students and overseas Chinese who support own political power overseas, attempt the overseas democratic movement like promoting the political democratization. However, Taiwan has become the quickest of democratic advancement in the Chinese community; mainland China has still not become flexible on the control of its politics. About this question, nowadays there are many researches on the mainland China democratic advancement, however, they don’t pay much attention to the democratization of mainland China affected by overseas democratic movement. Therefore, I want to find out whether the overseas democratic movement can have the impetus to the democratization of mainland China based on the influence of the democratization of Taiwan by overseas democratic movement.
To answer this question, this research divides into three parts. The first part is observing the development of mainland China overseas democratic movement from three perspectives. Firstly, in the exterior opportunities, the mainland China overseas democratic movement is influenced by the supportive extent of the International, Taiwan and Hong Kong. Secondly, the mainland China overseas democratic movement is influenced by the political mobilization ways and politics claims of previous mainland China democratic movement upon its development thread. Thirdly, in the interior observation of mainland China overseas democratic movement, the movement is influenced by the ways of its political works, the degrees of united organization, and how to utilize the resources that forecited. The second part is to continue the analysis results of the first partial, and also unifies the international structure and the degree of economic development of mainland China as the viewpoints of challenges on the mainland China overseas democratic movement. The third part is return to the beginning of the study, discuss why Taiwan can succeed while mainland China can’t.
This research divides into five chapters; there are few researches that discuss the mainland China democratic advancement in the view of this subject up to present. Therefore, the second and third chapter emphatically discuss the forecited first part. At the forth part, it unifies the forecited first, second and third parts as the review and survey of the research. In the last chapter, I make a SWOT analysis in the light of this research subject, and put forward the following research proposal.
