The Relationships of Time Perspective and Learning Attitude among Maritime and Fishery Vocational High School Students / 海事水產職業學校學生時間觀與學習態度相關之研究

The purpose of this study is to investigate the time perspective and learning attitude among maritime and fishery vocational high school students. The questionnaire is used in this study, and the population are the students of five maritime and fishery vocational high schools in Taiwan, and the sample(n=1000) is selected by stratified cluster sampling. The effective sample is 952( m=546, f=406 ).The instruments of this study included Time Perspective Inventory (35-item) and Learning Attitude Scale (18-item). Data obtained in this study is analyzed by t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation analysis and stepwise regression analysis.

Main findings of this research are as follows:

1. The students of maritime and fishery vocational high schools are tend to be hold the Future Time Perspective.

2. The time perspectives of maritime and fishery vocational high school students varied significantly in the gender, department, and academic achievement.

3. The learning attitudes of maritime and fishery vocational high schools students are average to good. And the attitude of the school environment of softwear is the highest, and the learning method is the lowest.

4. The learning attitude of maritime and fishery vocational high school students varied significantly in the gender, department, academic achievement, and the cause of entrance.

5. The students of maritime and fishery vocational high schools have correlations between Present-Hedonistic, Past Positive and Future Time Perspective.

According to the findings of this study, suggestions will be provided to schools, teachers, and researches in the future.
