碩士 / 國立臺灣海洋大學 / 電機工程學系 / 102 / The objective of this research is to implement a low-complexity OFDM communication platform suitable for underwater communications. In the underwater communication platform, we adopt NI PXI embed controller and DAQ data acquisition card as the hardware equipment and LabVIEW software to execute data transmission and detection. Based on the communication platform prototype developed last year, we propose a scheme to reduce receiver’s complexity and also add an extra functions for text transfer and channel coding. In order to obtain low complexity, preprocessing of the receive signal included to simplify the receiver’s scheme, except that Doppler rate is treated as a nuisance parameter.
In computer simulations, we use the impulse response, measured from the northeastern sea off Taiwan, as the communication model for the cases of random bit transfer and text transfer. Simulation results show that the developed underwater communication platform is feasible.
