Changes of lead and calcium levels in tissues of Litopenaeus vannamei at different molting stages under ambient various salinity and lead concentrations / 白蝦(Litopenaeus vannamei)各脫殼期於不同鹽度及鉛濃度組合下其組織鉛蓄積與鈣離子之變動

碩士 / 國立臺灣海洋大學 / 環境生物與漁業科學學系 / 102 / This study was to realize the effects of the lead accumulation in tissues of whiteleg shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei at various molting stages (B, C, D0, D1, D2, D3) after being exposed to different lead concentrations (1 and 2.5 ppm) and different salinity environments (14, 24 and 34‰) for 24 hours .
The highest lead accumulation in hemolymph, hepatopancreas, cuticle and muscle was stage B when L. vannamei exposed to lead environment at 14‰ of salinity, especially in cuticle. In general, the lead accumulation at intermolt and premolt in hepatopancreas was significantly higher than in cuticle. Therefore, the hepatopancreas was the main lead accumulating tissue. Moreover, the lead accumulation in derferent tissues was increased as the ambient lead concentration increased.
It was found the calcium levels of hemolymph, hepatopancreas and muscle in the control were significantly higher than in the experiment group (exposed to lead). The calcium levels of hemolymph and muscle were decreased with decreasing the ambient lead concentration. But the status was not happened in cuticle and hepatopancreas significantly. The calcium levels of hemolymph and hepatopancreas of L. vannamei were increased with increasing ambient salinity. But it was not varied significantly in cuticle and muscle. The calcium levels of muscle were lower when L. vannamei exposed to ambient lead environment in the salinitiy 14‰ at stage B.
In summary, salinity would change the calcium level in the tissue of L. vannamei. The calcium concentration in the environment would affect the tissue lead accumulation. It might be a competition effect between calcium and lead, but the ambient lead concentration would be the major factor affecting the tissues lead accumulation of L. vannamei.
