碩士 / 國立臺中科技大學 / 商業設計系碩士班 / 102 / Owing to the development of technology, the people nowadays can more easily have access to diverse information and thus pay more attention to the issues about human rights such as those caused by different races, religions and genders. Yet, homosexuality is still not accepted or even not mentionable in some conservative societies. Therefore, how to face the homosexuality issues and see the facts as general matters has become an important question.

The creative study gives the introduction to homosexuality by literature review, and then it explores the application of homosexual topics in the Western and Eastern art or literatures, and then analyzes the identification and social acceptance of homosexuality reflected by each society. The contents are composed by seven parts including “stereotype”, “myths”, “sexual orientation equality”, “personal preference”, “discrimination and bullying”, “contrary thinking” and “social acceptance”. Furthermore, the study is also supplemented with the theories of semiotics and the composition of posters that the elements of the stories are found and concretized to be applicable symbols by vision. And then, each symbol is combined with a slogan to compose the creative art of posters. The main aim of this study is to construct the understanding of homosexuality and also evoke the respect to human rights by communicating with readers via the presentation of the art work.
