碩士 / 國立臺東大學 / 文化資源與休閒產業學系 / 102 / The main purpose of this study is to explore the relationship between the interpretation services and the story marketing. The three sub-purposes were as followings: (1). to explore tourism resources—stories in Xuhai, (2). to understand interpretation services in Xuhai, and (3). to explore the effectiveness of story marketing based on interpretation services.
A total of 7 local residents, interpreters, were interviewed. The findings showed that Xuhai’s tourism resources—stories included: (1). originated in recorded literature, (2) local residents’ life experiences, and (3). local legends. The interpretation services included not only the introduction to the attractions but also included safety education and environmental conservation. The story marketing based on interpretation service had a considerable benefit for tourism development in Xuhai.
