碩士 / 國立臺灣科技大學 / 設計研究所 / 102 / With the popularity of mobile networks, smart phones have become one of the most popular “music storage media” and “music devices” among many personal devices. Nonetheless, smart phone has a single screen multi-page feature, users need to slide pages to complete the function switching, so the limited space of the smart phone screen might indirectly derive on some usability issues.
The main purpose of the research is about the online music platform in the smart phone applications (APPs)pertinent to interface usability. By means of questionnaires and experimental methods, this study consists of two phases: (1) The first phase of the experiment is to investigate the use status of existing online music service platforms including the user's task performance and usability satisfaction surveys. In addition, the observation technique is used to understand the user's problem in the operation, and then identify the impact of use factors; (2) The second phase of the experiment is to conduct a 2 (higher or lower user experience) x 3 (page navigation mode) between-subjects experiment based on the results from the pretest.
The generated research results can be summarized as follows :(1) “The page navigation mode" have an impact on user satisfaction ; (2) The "tab menu navigation mode" can meet the needs of the application functionality, support frequent switch between functions, have a good spatial navigation interface for users, operate through the senses and memory intuitively, and minimize the user's memory burden; (3) No matter the level of user experience for the evaluation of use satisfaction , the "flexibility and efficiency" has the same trend. The highest rating is "tab menu navigation mode" followed by "list menu navigation mode", and the "springboard navigation mode" is the lowest.
